{VII International Forum of the Kaliningrad Partner Regions}

On June 6-8, 2017 the VII International Forum of the Kaliningrad Partner Regions was held in Kaliningrad, attended by Olga Iakimenko, Head of Internet-Projects and Marketing Communications of ICSER Leontief Centre, Green Mobility Project Development Coordinator.

Welcome addresses were made by Acting Governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov and EU Ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Ušackas.

Within the Forum EU Ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Ušackas announced the allocation of € 58 million by EU for joint cross-border projects of the Kaliningrad region, Lithuania and Poland.

Within the round table “Public participation in urban planning and development” Olga Iakimenko presented the Green Mobility Project and results of the seminar-dialogue, organized in April 6-8, 2017 in Kaliningrad. The seminar’s participants have discussed organization challenges of sustainable transportation systems, mobility management in cities, improving the overall quality of life and urban environment.

VII International Forum of the Kaliningrad Partner Regions gathered representatives of Russian regions, as well as Poland, Lithuania, Sweden, the Netherlands, Latvia, Belgium, and the United Arab Emirates. The Forum participants have discussed current challenges of international and interregional cooperation.
